Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Mealtime Magic mobile application or visiting our website at getmealtimemagic.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Mealtime Magic. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Mealtime Magic (United Kingdom).

2. The service

Mealtime Magic is a mobile application designed to help families with neurodivergent children reduce mealtime stress. The app provides:

• A guided, emoji-driven meal selection flow for children
• Push notifications to parents when a child has chosen a meal
• A parent portal with meal history, insights, and family management
• A curated meal catalogue matched to sensory needs and mood

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

3. Your account

To use Mealtime Magic, you must create a parent or carer account. You agree to:

• Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You may sign in using Google Sign-In or email and password. By using Google Sign-In, you authorise us to access your basic Google profile information as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Children & parental responsibility

Mealtime Magic is used by children aged 4–14 through a child device linked to a parent account. As a parent or carer using the app, you:

• Are solely responsible for supervising your child's use of the app
• Confirm you have parental or legal guardian authority for each child profile you create
• Acknowledge that children interact with the app through a device you have set up and linked
• Are responsible for ensuring the device used by your child is appropriate and monitored

Children do not create their own accounts and cannot access the parent portal, billing information, or other children's data.

5. Subscription & billing

Access to Mealtime Magic requires an active subscription after your free trial ends.

All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your payment card details.

A subscription covers unlimited child profiles and all parent and carer accounts within a single family.

6. Free trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial.

At the end of the trial period, you will be asked to choose a subscription plan to continue using the app. If you do not subscribe, your account will be downgraded and meal selection will be paused until an active subscription exists.

Free trials are limited to one per person or household. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.

7. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Account section of the app or by emailing hello@getmealtimemagic.com.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds: If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service and we are unable to resolve it, please contact us within 14 days and we will assess your request on a case-by-case basis.

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By using the service within those 14 days, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may be affected. Please contact us if you have concerns.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Mealtime Magic to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service
• Use the service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
• Share your account credentials with people outside your immediate family

9. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, meal catalogue data, branding, and other materials within Mealtime Magic are the intellectual property of Mealtime Magic or its licensors and are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended personal, family purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer & liability

Mealtime Magic is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mealtime Magic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our data retention policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise act in a way that is harmful to other users or to Mealtime Magic. We will give notice where reasonably practicable, except in cases of serious breach.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Mealtime Magic shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
